$1500 fucking dollars for the bumper on my car, possibly more if the damage is more than merely cosmetic.

And my insurance is trying to tell me that, because I didn't fill out a police report, I might not be covered. I'm not freaking out about this yet, as nowhere does it specifically say in my documentation that a police report is required.

I hate New Mexico. Burn that motherfucker down. All of it. Every last square fucking inch.

Did you tell them that the damage occured on private property, which is what a restaurant parking lot would be concidered? In most states, police will not write up an accident report for car accidents that occur on private property, only public thoroughfares. A police report really shouldn't be required.

Out of curiosity, what company do you have?

Not explicitly. I did say I was in a parking lot, however, so if she was intelligent enough to put 2 and 2 together (which, somehow, I'm finding myself doubting), she got that. However, considering she made the point of saying I might not be covered, I don't think she did.

State Farm. I waited it out because I've gotten two tickets on my record in the past six months, and anywhere else I went would have seen those, whereas State Farm won't check until... Well, right about now.

Nah, State Farm won't check until your renewal if I remember their guidelines correctly. Don't quote me on that though, it's not my company, so I could be wrong.

What is it with all the car accidents lately? You people need to be more assertive with your rights and arguementative with your insurance carriers.... Geeze, maybe all the arguementative people only have Progressive. Maybe all I need to do is go work for another company and then work will be jolly fun time.

Oh, trust me. I'm planning on being excessively argumentative if necessary. I didn't bother with this one because, well, she was too retarded to be able to help me, and it would have been a wasted effort to do so.

By right about now, I mean that my renewal was due in July; I have yet to receive any information about it though, so I'm a little confused. Perhaps they extended it since I am now paying on a monthyl schedule as opposed to bi-annually.

Awwww... You're nice to the stupid. ^_^

Or they only pull their motor vehicle reports annually instead of semi-annually, which means you've lucked out until the next renewal. Some companies due that.

Oh, some asshat in Vaughn backed into my car while we were busy eating at the world's shittiest diner, and ripped my back bumper partially off on the passenger side. Did a number on the paint job and door, as well. Then drove off, without so much as a note or anything.

Vaughn strikes me as a particularly appropriate spot for the next Manhattan Project, between that diner and the fucktards who frequent it....
